Riverdeep Case Study
The Challenge
The Riverdeep 'Destination Maths' product was well established in the PC world. But entering the US market Riverdeep had the requirement of porting their application to the Macintosh platform.
The Solution
Using the Java and XML based ViewPort Product family Broadcast Learning was in the unique position to help Riverdeep by providing a "pixel compatible" Java version for:
- a Student Assessment System, to include a comprehensive reviewing and reporting features
- a Practice Area permitting students to experiment and explore mathematical challenges, both utilising an interactive Graphing Tool and a Scientific Calculator
- a Teacher Management System, permitting the creation and scheduling of tests based on Riverdeep's extensive Question Bank.
All components were adapted exactly to the look and feel of Riverdeep's product and matched to the requirements of the original Destination Maths Prduct.
